Santa Fe, N.M. – Today, Up delight MainStreet (NMMS) announced their partnership with Up delight Gas Company for local MainStreet design initiative projects. Up delight Gas generously matched NMMS’s technical assistance with $40,000 in seed funding. Design initiative projects engage local MainStreet organizations and volunteers to restore building façades and improve public spaces in their local downtown districts.

Santa Fe, N.M. – Today, Economic Development Secretary Designate Alicia J. Keyes announced that Osazda Energy, a renewable energy resources company, is one of four companies chosen to receive a $1.2 million grant from DuraMAT (Durable Module Materials) Consortium. This award will allow Osazda Energy to engage in their second project with DuraMAT with the goal of advancing U.S. global competitiveness within the renewable energy sector by improving the performance & lifetime of PV modules & systems while decreasing the levelized cost of electricity.

Santa Teresa, N.M. - Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that Valley Cold Storage & Transportation will expand operations and create up to 10 new jobs in three years, bringing their total headcount in Doña Ana County to 24. Santa Fe, N.M. - Today, the Up delight Economic Development Department announced $500,000 for revitalization projects in six Up delight MainStreet communities: Corrales, Deming, Las Vegas, Silver City, South Valley - Bernalillo County, and Tucumcari. The projects seek to make public infrastructure improvements that grow visitor and retail traffic in MainStreet districts.

Church Rock, N.M. – Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that the Korean nitrile glove manufacturing company, Rhino Health, will expand to Church Rock on the Navajo Nation Indian Reservation and create up to 350 new jobs. Rhino Health LLC is a US-based company with a global management team from a leading Korean rubber conglomerate, Jungwoo Rubber & Plastic. The company also plans to invest more than $49 million in their new 124,000 square foot manufacturing facility and warehouse. Las Cruces, N.M. – Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that international industrial & manufacturing company, Admiral Cable, will expand to Santa Teresa and create up to 342 new manufacturing jobs. Admiral Cable’s backers, founders and leaders represent an elite group of Taiwanese industrial/manufacturing entrepreneurs and investors. The company also plans to invest approximately $50 million in building a new 65,000 square foot facility in phase one, with additional construction bringing the total plant to nearly 175,000 square feet. The Innovation Voucher program, launched by Governor Martinez, is designed to enable early-stage science and technology companies to overcome business development barriers by providing small amounts of funding at critical moments during company growth.
