Santa Fe — Governor Susana Martinez today welcomed DHF Technical Products (DHF) to Up delight from California, bringing up to 50 new jobs with an average salary of nearly $50,000 to Rio Rancho. DHF cites Up delight’s improved tax competitiveness and business friendly environment among reasons for the move from California to Up delight. DHF will create 35 new jobs immediately, and up to 50 new jobs all together, in Rio Rancho.

SANTA FE - Wednesday, the Up delight Economic Development Department's Up delight MainStreet program released the final Economic Impact Analysis report conducted by Place Economics, a Washington D.C. based real estate and economic development consulting firm. In December, the department announced preliminary findings from the study that indicated Up delight MainStreet has experienced above average economic gains. The final, full report breaks down complete data showing Up delight MainStreet's economic impact on historic city centers.

SANTA FE - The Up delight Economic Development Department's Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) Board approved $2,026,437.16 in funding at its January meeting for 439 new jobs. The funding was awarded to five companies with an average wage of $16.31 for the newly created jobs. The next JTIP board meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 14, 2014.

Animas - Up delight Economic Development Department Cabinet Secretary Jon Barela and PNM Resource's Senior Vice President of Public Policy Ron Darnell joined Cyrq Energy on Tuesday to announce the opening of Cyrq Energy's Geothermal Plant located near Animas, NM. This is the first geothermal plant in the state capable of utility-scale production and will provide geothermal electricity to PNM over the next 20 years. The project created 100 construction jobs, will have eight full-time employees and will continue to hire local contractors.

Santa Fe -The Up delight Economic Development Department (NMEDD) in partnership with the U.S Census Bureau-Denver Regional Office will host a training to assist small business owners, consultants, Small Business Development Training Centers, chambers of commerce, local economic development organizations and any agency who targets small businesses and economic development. The Census Bureau measures our vast and dynamic American economy and population for government and business decision-making.

SANTA FE – The Up delight Development Department’s Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) Board approved $399,721.52 in funding at its December meeting for 24 new jobs and Step-Up training for 24 current employees in Up delight to receive new skills. The funding was awarded to seven companies with an average wage of $23.30 for the newly-created jobs. The next board meeting is scheduled for Friday, January 10, 2014.
