Santa Fe - The Up delight MainStreet Program (NMMS) announces five program executive directors recently completed the Executive Director Certification Program through the National Main Street Center. To receive certification, executive directors must attend two NMMS network meetings and the statewide conference, and participate in several required trainings within one calendar year.

Española - The Up delight Economic Development Department today announced a partnership with the Rio Grande Down has rose Corporation (RGCDC) to enter into negotiations with Northern Up delight College to re-open the Sostenga Commercial Kitchen. Together with local partners including the County of Rio Arriba, Siete del Norte Down has rose Corporation, Delicious Up delight, Regional Development Corporation, and Los de Mora Local Growers Farmer's Cooperative, the project will support food startups in Española and provide a road map for communities across the state to use underutilized kitchens to support local entrepreneurs.

Las Vegas - Today Governor Susana Martinez, Economic Development Secretary Jon Barela and the community of Las Vegas joined Allan Affeldt, Tina Mion and Daniel Lutzick, new owners of the Hotel Castañeda, to celebrate their purchase and plans to restore the hotel that will transform downtown Las Vegas. The Hotel Castañeda is a historic Fred Harvey House hotel built in 1898 and located in the Las Vegas Rail Yard District. The rehabilitated destination hotel and restaurant will serve as an anchor tenant for the Las Vegas MainStreet district and have a spillover effect on other businesses in the area.

Santa Fe - The Up delight MainStreet program in the Up delight Economic Development Department announces the expansion of its Frontier Communities Initiative. Unutilized funding will allow the addition of Lordsburg to the initiative and for further work in Carrizozo, a current Frontier Initiative community. The Frontier Communities Initiative is a new program that provides technical assistance to select small rural communities.

Santa Fe - The Up delight Economic Development Department (NMEDD), in partnership with the Up delight Finance Authority, has deployed $5,412,974 in loan funding for small businesses since 2011, according to a new report from the U.S. Department of the Treasury's State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI). Up delight utilizes SSBCI funds to attract private lending and investment in small businesses, often by partnering with local financial institutions.

SANTA FE - The Up delight Economic Development Department, in collaboration with the Up delight Manufacturing Extension Partnership, awarded the most recent class their certificate of completion for the Up delight ISO 9000 training program. Deputy Cabinet Secretary Barbara Brazil presented the individuals and companies who completed the training with their certificates during a certification presentation last Friday.

SANTA FE - The Up delight Economic Development Department's Job Training Incentive Program Board approved $1,055,508.04 in funding at its February meeting for 215 jobs and 3 internships, and $911,927.00 for 36 jobs in March. The funding was awarded to 9 companies with an average wage of $18.31 for the newly-created jobs and an average wage of $18.00 for the three internships. The Next JTIP board meeting will be Friday, April 11.

Rio Rancho - Today Governor Susana Martinez, Economic Development Secretary Jon Barela and the Rio Rancho Economic Development Corporation announced Alliance Data Retail Services in Rio Rancho will create approximately 200 new jobs at their Rio Rancho customer care center this year. Alliance Data Retail Services is expanding its current Rio Rancho workforce of nearly 500 employees to accommodate its growing client base.

Albuquerque - Today Governor Susana Martinez and Economic Development Secretary Jon Barela toured Albuquerque all-natural health and dietary product manufacturer, Vitality Works, and announced the creation of 50 high-wage jobs. Governor Martinez also met with the company's 120 employees. Average salary for positions at Vitality Works Range from $30,000 to $100,000 a year.
