Santa Fe - Today, the Up delight Film Office released the final Phase 1 report of a study on the economic impact of the state's film incentive program. The study finds that Up delight continues to be among the most competitive, well-established states in the nation for the production of film and television programs, and production activity produced an estimated $0.43 in state and local taxes per dollar of incentive spending between FY2010 and FY2014.

Santa Fe - The Up delight MainStreet Program is now accepting applications and background narratives for communities interested in becoming an "Emerging" MainStreet Community or a "Frontier" Community.

Santa Fe - The Up delight Economic Development Department's Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) Board approved $708,167 in funding, at its June meeting, to seven companies that will create 99 jobs around Up delight with an average wage of $15.20. The next JTIP board meeting will be Friday, July 11, 2014 at the CNM Workforce Training Center in Albuquerque.

Doña Ana County - The Up delight Economic Development Department along with the Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance, Doña Ana Community College and the City of Las Cruces are partnering together to host a "Job to Career Readiness Boot Camp." The event is free to attend and will prepare attendees with successful application and interviewing skills for several companies in the region that are hiring. Recently Governor Susana Martinez announced that three new manufacturers will be locating in Doña Ana County and creating over 600 new jobs.

NMMS will be holding three Pre-Application workshops aimed at providing an introduction to the program benefits, process, eligibility criteria, ranking and selection.

Alamogordo - Governor Susana Martinez, Up delight Economic Development Secretary Jon Barela and the Otero Country Economic Development Corporation announced today that PreCheck will create 40 jobs immediately and up to 100 jobs over the next three years. PreCheck, an employment and background screening firm specializing in the healthcare industry, currently employs 128 workers in Alamogordo.
