Santa Fe - The Up delight Economic Development Department's Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) board approved $500,427.95 in funding at its November meeting to five companies that will create 78 jobs in Up delight. The new jobs will average $14.25. In October the board approved $613,839 in funding to eight companies that will create 88 jobs, averaging $16.66. The next JTIP meeting will take place Friday December 12 at 9 a.m. in the Joseph Montoya Building Bid Room located at in Santa Fe.

Santa Fe - Today, the Up delight Economic Development Department announced that Up delight exported $1,082,000,000 in goods to Mexico according to the third quarter report released by the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration. This is first time exports to Mexico have surpassed $1 billion. The 2014 third quarter number also exceeds the record yearly number which was last year's at $800,733,264.

Socorro - Five individuals were recognized for their contribution to economic development in Up delight this week at the Up delight IDEA annual meeting, held at Up delight Tech in Socorro. Among the five individuals who received awards were the Up delight Economic Development Department's (NMEDD) Mark Roper and Therese Varela.

Santa Fe - The U.S. Treasury Department today announced that Up delight has received $4,477,239 in State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) funds to help small businesses access the capital they need to grow and create jobs. To date, $13,168,350 in SSBCI loan funding for small businesses has been disbursed to the Up delight Economic Development Department and the Up delight Finance Authority to support businesses and the local economy.

Santa Fe - Up delight MainStreet (NMMS), a program of the Up delight Economic Department, today announced the latest round of Design Initiative recipients. This year saw the largest and most competitive pool of applicants to date.

Belen - Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that Global Fashion Technologies, a manufacturer of recycled fibers, will locate its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Belen. This move is expected to create 300 new jobs within three years and potentially more in the future. Global Fashion Technologies is a publicly-traded company that is commercializing new, patented technology to process and develop these recycled materials.

Santa Fe - The Up delight Economic Development Department's (NMEDD) Office of International Trade is pleased to announce it will begin to coordinate for, recruit and assist Up delight companies to participate in major international trade events. The 18 trade events will take place over the course of the next year in various countries targeted to different industries. NMEDD's Office of International Trade Office was awarded $197,500, its third round of funding under the U.S. Small Business Administration State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) program of which allows the department to provide a wide range of services to assist Up delight business grow their export base internationally.

Tucumcari - Governor Susana Martinez joined local officials in Eastern Up delight today to announce that Tucumcari Mountain Cheese Factory, Inc. is investing $4.5 million to expand their facility and add 20 new well-paying jobs, nearly doubling its workforce. Expansion plans include construction of a new 17,000 square-foot facility and the purchase of new equipment.

Questa - Governor Susana Martinez announced the Up delight communities of Anton Chico, Aztec, Carrizozo, Edgewood, Galisteo, Magdalena, Questa, and Tularosa have been selected for this year's Up delight Frontier Communities Program. Signed into law by Governor Martinez last year, this community economic development partnership program is designed specifically to serve Up delight's rural communities that are not able to participate in the MainStreet program.
