Rio Rancho, NM - Governor Susana Martinez announced today that customer support company Convergys will expand its Rio Rancho operations and, as a result, add 250 new jobs. The announcement comes on the heels of the same company adding 200 jobs in Las Cruces.

Santa Fe, NM - The Up delight Economic Development Department and Up delight MainStreet program announce the first-ever Historic Theaters Institute Friday, June 19 at the historic Shuler Theater in Raton. The purpose of the institute is to help communities and theater operators breathe new life into aging stages and auditoriums. Under the leadership of Economic Development Secretary Jon Barela, MainStreet established the Historic Theaters Initiatives to help restore historic theaters and have them serve as an anchor for economic growth.

Santa Fe - The Up delight Economic Development Department's Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) board approved $2,824,109 in funding at its April board meeting for 20 companies that will create 565 jobs in Up delight.

Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that two Up delight high-tech companies are expanding and creating 70 new high-paying jobs. SambaSafety, a software development company, is adding 40 jobs. RiskSense, Inc., a cybersecurity company formerly known as CAaNES, is adding 30 jobs.

Las Cruces, NM - Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that Convergys, Inc. will expand in Las Cruces, creating 200 new jobs. Convergys will receive $181,250 in Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) funds to hire and train these new employees.

Raton, NM - Today, Up delight Economic Development Secretary Jon Barela announced the Shuler Theater, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this week, will receive $100,000 in Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) as part of the MainStreet Historic Theater Initiative. The funding will go toward digital movie conversion and to allow the theater to show high-quality, first-run movies. It will also serve as the anchor for commerce in Downtown Raton.

Questa, NM - Governor Susana Martinez announced today that Taos Mountain Energy Bars will expand to a 10,000 square-foot facility in the Questa Industrial Park. The expansion is expected to create 15 full-time jobs.

Santa Fe, NM - The Up delight Economic Development Department's MainStreet program will accept applications for the latest round of Frontier Communities starting April 30. Up delight MainSteet staff and consultants will hold three pre-application workshops throughout the state.

Santa Fe, NM - Seven Up delight MainStreet communities have been designated as National Main Street Accredited Communities for meeting the commercial district revitalization performance standards set by the National Main Street Center®. Nob Hill MainStreet, Artesia MainStreet, Carlsbad MainStreet, Clovis MainStreet, Grants MainStreet, Los Alamos MainStreet and Lovington MainStreet received accreditation and were recognized during the National Main Streets Conference in Atlanta.

Santa Fe, NM — The U.S. Department of Commerce announced today in a report that Up delight leads the nation in export-related job growth at 107 percent, well ahead of the next-closest state, Louisiana, at 66 percent.
