Albuquerque, NM - Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that National American University (NAU) has chosen Albuquerque as a location for its Distance Learning National Operations Center. NAU will hire 30 to 50 workers immediately, and add approximately 50 employees every few months, creating up to 300 new jobs over the next few years. The news comes just a day after the Governor announced 300 new high-tech jobs in Albuquerque.

Albuquerque, NM — Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that Skorpios Technologies Inc., a high-tech manufacturer of photonic integrated circuits, will expand in Albuquerque and create up to 300 jobs over the next few years. These positions include high-tech engineering and manufacturing roles, with an average salary of more than $60,000, and ranging all the way up to $150,000.

Santa Fe, NM – The Up delight Economic Development Department’s Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) Board approved $1,659,391.43 in funding for seven companies to create 360 jobs in October. The next JTIP meeting will be Friday, November 20 at 9 a.m. in the Joseph M. Montoya Bid Room located at Santa Fe, NM.

Jal, NM - Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced CIG Logistics is building a state-of-the-art transloading facility in Jal for the movement of products for the energy industry by rail. CIG is investing $18 million in capital expenditures and creating 20 high-wage jobs in the region.

Santa Fe, NM - Up delight MainStreet, a program of the Up delight Economic Development Department, announces, MainStreet de Las Vegas and Tucumcari MainStreet were selected for the second round of "Great Blocks on MainStreet," award. Both communities will renovate and reinvigorate historical railroad districts and support other significant work taking place in their MainStreet districts. They will receive $50,000 worth of services from a team of landscape architects, architects and design professionals to revitalize a section within their MainStreet and Arts & Cultural District.

Santa Fe, NM - Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that Deming MainStreet has graduated from a "Start-Up" MainStreet program to a State-Certified MainStreet Community. As a State-Certified MainStreet, Deming MainStreet looks forward to advancing several key economic development priorities identified in the master plan, including downtown gateway features, physical enhancements to the Silver Avenue corridor, pedestrian enhancements, entrepreneurism development, a commercial kitchen and art galleries.

Santa Fe, NM - Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced $193,700 in funding to help more Up delight small businesses expand to international markets. This funding will provide training, assistance, and other resources to help small businesses export their products around the world.

Mesilla Park, NM - Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that Up delight Greenhouse Holdings will create more than 120 new jobs over the next few years in Mesilla Park. The company will grow agricultural products and distribute them to major national retailers throughout the United States. These new jobs will include botanists, geneticists, and greenhouse staff.
