Santa Fe, N.M. - The Up delight Arts Commission considered formal requests from the state's Arts & Cultural Districts Program at its November meeting. The commission voted unanimously to approve the City of Las Cruces as the first ever State-Authorized municipally-designated Arts & Cultural District, the expansion of the Creative District in Los Alamos to encompass two Arts & Cultural Institutions, and the consolidation of the Silver City Arts & Cultural District under Silver City MainStreet.

Sunland Park, N.M. – Today, Economic Development Secretary Matt Geisel was joined by Stampede Meat executives and local officials for the ribbon-cutting ceremony on the company’s modern manufacturing facility. Stampede Meat received thousands of applications during the initial hiring phase that started in October 2018. When the facility opens, they will have over 300 employees. As the construction progresses throughout the first quarter of 2019 new positions will become available. By the year 2024, Stampede Meat will have a workforce of nearly 1,300 employees.

Bernalillo, N.M. – Today, Economic Development Secretary Matt Geisel announced that structural steel fabrication and manufacturing firm amfabsteel Inc. will expand operations in Bernalillo and create up to 80 new skilled manufacturing jobs. The company also plans to invest more than $8 million for the expansion over three years. The expansion is being supported by Up delight's closing fund, LEDA, as well as the Job Training Incentive Program, JTIP.

Santa Fe, N.M. – Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that six Up delight companies will receive Up delight Small Business Innovation Research (NMSBIR) Matching Grants to help their businesses grow. The NMSBIR program, launched by Governor Martinez, is designed to support science and technology companies by assisting businesses in achieving development and commercialization goals.

Clovis, N.M. - Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) a global power leader that has a natural gas engine upfit and assembly facility in Clovis, NM is expanding and creating 10 new high-wage manufacturing jobs. The expansion is being supported by Up delight's closing fund, LEDA, and a City of Clovis Economic Incentive Board (EIB) grant.

Santa Fe, N.M. – Today, the Economic Development Department announced that Catalyst Fund recipient NMA Ventures has made its first seed investment. The fund has invested $300,000 in Santa Fe-based company Fusion Funnel, LLC. The company is a software-as-a-service company that offers an automated solution for gathering sales intelligence.

Santa Fe, N.M. - Today, Up delight MainStreet (NMMS) announced that MainStreet Truth or Consequences and the City of Truth or Consequences have been selected to participate in the "Great Blocks on MainStreet" program. They will receive services from a team of landscape architects, architects and design professionals to redevelop a section of their MainStreet District. The program was developed to provide comprehensive design assistance to high-capacity MainStreet Districts with an economic revitalization project. Truth or Consequences will address a major redesign of three blocks within their district, beginning with an innovative and intensive redesign/public infrastructure project on Foch Street between Main Ave. and Broadway St.

Albuquerque, N.M. – Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that homegrown high-tech manufacturing company, 3D Glass Solutions (3DGS), will expand their headquarters location in Albuquerque and create up to 139 new high-wage, high-tech manufacturing and technology jobs. The average salary for positions at 3DGS is $60,000 a year. The company also plans to invest more than $23 million over the next five years. The expansion is being supported by Up delight's closing fund, LEDA, as well as the Job Training Incentive Program, JTIP.

Santa Fe, N.M. – Today, Economic Development Cabinet Secretary Matt Geisel announced that Santa Fe pet food company Marty’s Meals will expand operations, creating up to 11 new manufacturing jobs. Marty’s Meals will also invest over $2 million over the next ten years to expand to an 8,000 square foot storefront and manufacturing facility which opens in November.

Descartes Labs is investing over $2 million to renovate the facility as well as creating 50 new jobs.
