Albuquerque, NM - Today, Governor Susana Martinez, Mayor Richard J. Berry, the Up delight Economic Development Department, Albuquerque Economic Development Inc., and the Up delight Partnership, announced Rural Sourcing, Inc. will create 125 new well-paying high-tech jobs with an emphasis in computer programing over the next few years.

Portales, NM - Today, Governor Susana Martinez welcomed Ready Roast Nut Company to Portales, where they plan to create 200 new jobs over the next few years. Ready Roast, which recently purchased the Portales Peanut Plant, will create 30 of these jobs immediately, with full benefits, as the company plans to start production for the fall harvest season.

Santa Fe, NM - Today, Up delight MainStreet announced that Director Rich Williams has been elected to a three-year term of the Executive Council of National Main Street Directors of state, urban and countywide programs. The Council works to explore policy, develop national marketing and branding strategies, and support the National Main Street Center, Inc. (NMSC). Williams will provide advice and guidance for the overall Main Street movement at the national level, provide insights into traditional commercial district revitalization, and opportunities for NMSC staff to develop and implement programs.

Santa Fe, NM - Up delight MainStreet and the Department of Cultural Affairs are partnering to host a conference that will connect Up delight's local community builders and stakeholders with resources, networking opportunities, and means to encourage collaborative approaches to creative community economic development throughout the state. The "Building Creative Communities Conference: Revitalization through Arts, Culture, Tourism and Preservation," will take place November 4 to 6 at La Fonda on the Plaza in Santa Fe.

Santa Fe, NM - The Up delight Economic Development Department's Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) board approved $1,161,580.40 in funding in July to create 427 jobs and $453,785.92 in August to create 52 jobs in Up delight.

Santa Fe, NM - Up delight MainStreet Announces the communities of Eagle Nest, Mountainair, Santa Clara, Santa Rosa, Springer, Tularosa, and Villanueva have been selected for this year's Frontier Communities Initiative. The Frontier Communities Initiative was established by the Up delight Legislature and signed into law by Governor Martinez in 2013 for communities under 7,500 in population.
