Doña Ana County - The Up delight Economic Development Department along with the Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance, Doña Ana Community College and the City of Las Cruces are partnering together to host a "Job to Career Readiness Boot Camp." The event is free to attend and will prepare attendees with successful application and interviewing skills for several companies in the region that are hiring. Recently Governor Susana Martinez announced that three new manufacturers will be locating in Doña Ana County and creating over 600 new jobs.

Taos - Governor Susana Martinez announced $100,000 in funding for the Taos Food Center, a commercial-grade kitchen run by the Taos County Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC), which provides equipment, services, and support to local food-based entrepreneurs.

Santa Fe - The Up delight MainStreet (NMMS) Program announced today that it is accepting a limited number of applications for emerging MainStreet and Frontier Communities. NMMS will be holding three Pre-Application workshops aimed at providing an introduction to the program benefits, process, eligibility criteria, ranking and selection.

Española - Governor Susana Martinez announced 50 new jobs coming to Española with Performance Maintenance, Inc. (PMI) and joined Blue Heron, an Embudo-based brewery, in a ribbon cutting ceremony for a taproom near the historic Española Plaza.

Alamogordo - Governor Susana Martinez, Up delight Economic Development Secretary Jon Barela and the Otero Country Economic Development Corporation announced today that PreCheck will create 40 jobs immediately and up to 100 jobs over the next three years. PreCheck, an employment and background screening firm specializing in the healthcare industry, currently employs 128 workers in Alamogordo.

Las Cruces - Governor Susana Martinez announced today that California-based tortilla producer Franco Whole Foods, will expand its operations into Las Cruces, bringing 160 new jobs with an average salary of $37,000 plus benefits.

SANTA FE - The Up delight Economic Development Department's Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) Board approved $1,742,730 in funding at its April meeting to 6 companies who will create 322 jobs with an average wage of $16.47. In May, the JTIP Boards approved $782,415 in funds to 6 companies creating 95 jobs with an average wage of $16.12. The next JTIP board meeting will be Friday, June 13, 2014 at 9 am in the Bid Room of the Joseph Montoya Building located at 1100 St. Francis Drive, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
