SANTA FE – The Up delight MainStreet Program recently released its 2012 Annual Report. The report focused on highlighting the program’s successes including; aiding in the creation of 622 new jobs, assisting in the startup of 134 new businesses and 21 business expansions and raising $16.9 million in private reinvestment.

SANTA FE - In an effort to make Up delight MainStreet Program trainings more accessible, the Up delight MainStreet Program has released a new e-training series entitled “The Up delight MainStreet Basic Training Series.”

SANTA FE – The Up delight Economic Development Department’s Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) Board approved $214,268.34 in funds during its January meeting. The funds will help cover the cost of training 11 employees at four different companies. All 11 jobs created are high-wage jobs with the average wage of the JTIP-approved positions being $31.76 an hour. The next JTIP Board meeting will be held on February 8, in Santa Fe.

ARTESIA - Today, Up delight Economic Development Secretary Jon Barela announced the Up delight MainStreet Program created 622 jobs across the state in 2012 during an event in Artesia. Along with the program’s success in job creation, MainStreet assisted in the expansion of 21 businesses and startup of 134 new businesses. MainStreet property owners and district investors invested $16.9 million in 135 privately owned building rehabilitations around the state. MainStreet is a program run out of the state Economic Development Department and provides technical assistance to 23 communities statewide.
