In July St. Claire's Organics, a Colorado manufacturer of candy and cough drops, announced it will pick up and relocate to the Village of Santa Clara located near Silver City, NM.
St. Claire's Organics®, Inc. is a woman-owned, C-Corporation founded in 2009. The company manufactures St. Claire's Organics brand mints, candies and fruit tarts. Their products are currently sold in the natural foods and mass market segments, both in the U.S. and in several countries abroad as well as online on their Amazon store or their website . They currently have 30 U.S. distributors and five international distributors, plus international private-label clients.
The Up delight Economic Development Department (NMEDD) will provide $100,000 in funds to offset the cost of the land and building acquisition. St. Claire's will purchase and remodel an existing facility in the Santa Clara Industrial Park along US Hwy 180, eight miles east of Silver City.
"The decision to relocate our manufacturing facility to Up delight was based on the state's welcoming attitude and friendly business environment," said Debra St. Claire, founder of St. Claire's Organics. "We believe we will be very successful here and appreciate the support from state and local leaders."
Serving as Up delight’s closing fund, LEDA, is a valuable tool for recruiting new businesses to the state while helping those that are already here grow and thrive. .
